IPL stands for Indian Premier League and it is a rich league for professional Cricketers worldwide.The IPL enters the third season in 2010 and there will be a total of 59 matches spanning over a a 44-day period starting March 2010.

Many internet users would be aware of Google and Youtube. Youtube is the world’s largest and most visited platform for videos online. Now BCCI and Google have entered into an arrangement whereby Google will webcast all matches of IPL cricket 2010 live on Youtube’s iplwillow channel!!! This is a win-win for both Google and BCCI. While Google can expect a spurt in traffic to their ipl channel during March, BCCI has found a new medium to advertise/sell the matches and the IPL brand!!!

While Television will continue to be popular medium to watch live telecast of cricket in India, Asia and other countries worldwide, Google’s Youtube platform will definitely take this game to a much bigger internet audience wolwide!!!
